The Canadian Trucking Alliance (CTA), the country\u2019s national trucking group, in conjunction with the provincial trucking associations, launched National Trucking Week<\/strong> many years ago. It begins on the first Sunday in Sept. and runs to the following Saturday.<\/p>\n

The purpose of the weeklong celebration is to recognize the important contributions made by the 400,000 Canadian men and women who keep the country\u2019s freight moving.<\/p>\n

Provincial trucking associations, carriers, industry suppliers and other stakeholders are encouraged to undertake activities in their own province to mark the event. In previous years, provincial associations have marked the occasion with newspaper supplements, radio advertising, contests, special promotions, and special events at truck stops and roadside inspection stations.<\/p>\n

Carriers and industry suppliers have hosted BBQs, breakfasts, truck washes, offered special giveaways to employees and marked the week event with a wide variety of activities.<\/p>\n

It takes everyone at McConnell Transport to move the freight.  We are all part of the over 400,000 people who keep the freight moving \u2013 office, drivers, shop and everyone in between work hard TOGETHER<\/strong> to keep it all moving forward.<\/p>\n
